The spark fades. Old triggers resurface. Stress takes over, and you wonder if this is as good as it gets.
It doesn’t have to be.
At The Couples School, we believe every couple has the capacity to thrive: to feel understood, supported, desired, and deeply connected. And we know exactly how to get you there.

You’ll spend a full day immersing in fun, insight, and reconnection. Explore our 8-step framework, watch real couples in action, and try mini-exercises that spark intimacy and joy right away.
Integrate and Deepen Over the next 7 weeks, we’ll meet online to go deeper. Each session explores one of the 7 steps, with practical tools and guided exercises you’ll immediately apply at home. Between sessions, you’ll receive short readings and practices to strengthen your connection day by day.
You’ll also get access to recordings, a workbook, and bonus resources so you and your partner can revisit the tools anytime.
Learn to identify the destructive pattern you are in. And begin the process of getting to the root of the problem. Learn to express your needs through healthier, more constructive communication.

Couples establish a platform for de-escalating conflict and repairing rifts in the relationship along with building emotional safety.
Emotional connection paves the path towards sexual intimacy, and intimacy paves towards deeper emotional connection. Learn the universal concepts and discover your unique nuances as a couple to navigate romance and physical closeness.
Through structured conversations, couples learn to be attuned, emotionally responsive, and deeply engaged with each other.
“Josh brought both his great sense of humor as well as his deep compassion to teaching us this vulnerable approach to connecting with each other. We walked away feeling a renewed sense of love and commitment to each other."
Dr. Danielle Dragon, PsyD
With years of in-depth training under couples counseling pioneers such as Dr. Sue Johnson, Josh is one of the first Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) practitioners in the Midwest to achieve ICEEFT certification both as a Couples Therapist and as a Supervisor. His passion is sharing the power of bonding through EFT, and he has done so extensively, offering workshops for couples, leading therapist-consultation groups, and providing supervision and training to fellow practitioners.
From his private practice - where he works exclusively with couples and families - to his regular regional trainings and leadership roles (including service on the Chicago EFT Board), Josh brings both heart and rigor to helping couples deepen connection, navigate challenges, and grow together.
Whether you’ve been married a few years or more than a decade…
or whether you’re navigating daily stress or struggling with bigger patterns…
you’ll leave with hope, tools, and a renewed bond.
