Couples Therapy for Therapists and Their Partners

Can you help him/her understand me?

About one third of my practice is working with therapists and their spouses.  Because one or both you are a trained therapist, it can be difficult to find the right therapist to work with you as a couple.  Sometimes the non-therapist feels inadequate in the psychological or emotional realm.  It's important you both feel comfortable and trust the therapist and the therapeutic process.

You obviously want someone with a significant amount of training in couples counseling, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy is at the cutting edge of modern psychology's understanding of love and the human bond.

Besides the research and depth of EFT, it is especially helpful for therapists and their partners that it is experiential.  That means it will be the emotional experience of each other, in the here and now, that is going to build the relationship.  That puts everyone, no matter their background, on the same playing field.

I am always honored to help therapists build their understanding and bond with their partners.  I encourage you to reach out and set up a free consultation to discuss your challenges and explore together how I can help you.  I look forward to working with you in building your bond.

I look forward to connecting with you!
